Congressional UFO Hearings Provide Few Answers

I listened to the hearing and there were some interesting tidbits. The military and intelligence services are looking at this from a national security lens which shouldn't be all that surprising. There was quite a bit of discussion that got deferred to the closed session, but some of the...

    Current UFO Shows — Worthwhile?

Yeah, the fragmentation of streaming services is something I find very annoying, so I can understand your reticence to pull the trigger on a service for one freaking show. If you do decide to get the trial and watch, I'd been interested in your thoughts. There isn't a lot of new info in it...

    Current UFO Shows — Worthwhile?

Alas, you have to be in Canada to watch (or watch using VPN), but Spaceman and UFO Town are two episodes of the CBC documentary series. Spaceman covers the mysterious disappearance of Granger Taylor, who disappeared over 40 years ago claiming that he was going to travel with aliens. UFO Town...

The Other Shoe Drops at The Washington Post

So do you think this will cause a shake-up in MUFON or will they just shake it off with some stupid PR releases?

The Other Shoe Drops at The Washington Post

Yeah, but you still make the podcast itself free and you don't try to sell the Paracast as anything other than what it is. I've always thought MUFON was a mixed bag, it seemed like they had some decent members who believed in science, but then there other members who never met a woo-woo theory...

New UFO docuseries produced by JJ Abrams, starts August 8

That would be awesome! He was very good in this last episode, he got the most screen time, I think. I was really surprised that this show didn't devolve into some sort of Camelot/Project Serpo quagmire.

Episode 4: A brief discussion of the potential of the military having retrieved alloys from crash sites in Bigelow storage facilities, but this episode acknowledges that variations of this story have been circulating since the '40s. It then goes into a very measured discussion of the abduction...

And, to be fair, he was just briefly touched on in episode 3 regarding what is known about him and what he was involved in, but yeah, you're right, he's probably not not contributing anything meaningful. TTSA may just be using him since a lot of people know who he is.

I'll have to visit their website when I need a good laugh. I haven't been paying close enough attention to Elizondo to make any kind of determination, but why the feck would you want to go into this field if you want to be famous? I don't get it.

No doubt, of which Bigelow certainly got a big share. I feel it raises some interesting questions about why the feds would want to spend $50k a month over 12 years on a volunteer amateur UFO research group. When Carrion met with Bigelow with two other MUFON board members, Hal Puthoff and...

New UFO docuseries produced by JJ Abrams, starts August 8

I got the impression that Carrion has gotten very skeptical over the intervening years and has come to believe that human deception plays a primary part in this phenomena, yet he still holds a belief that alien civilizations could still exist. Also, you may be aware that when Bigelow was...

Yes, the Netflix show is a different one than the one on Showtime. Episode 3 of the Showtime show is the most interesting one so far and if you get the opportunity to watch one episode of this series, this is it. It looks like 4 will cover abductions. Episode 3: George Knapp James Carrion...

Whatever happened to "Mirage Men" ?

Excellent, I read the book years ago and thought it was a very interesting read.

Episode 2: Interviews with George Knapp and Harry Reid Overview of two military sightings of UAP with interviews with some of the former service members who were there when they happened. A discussion of Robert Bigelow and Skinwalker Ranch, including interviews with people who spent time on the...

New UFO docuseries produced by JJ Abrams, starts August 8

There wasn't any new or ground breaking info. It's visually stunning with a nice mix of new and archive footage and audio. Its major premise is that UFOs exist, but it doesn't try to explain the why's and wherefores. It does have a nice but short discussion about how UFOs exist in the greater...

New UFO docuseries produced by JJ Abrams, starts August 8

I'm watching it right now, and it's not horrible. I'll include a list of interviewees later. It's a basic overview of the phenomenon in the first episode, but it's not horribly sensationalized with a bit of a focus on the Phoenix lights and the O'Hare sightings with some others being just...

I'll likely watch the first episode, if it goes well, I'll watch the rest. If it jumps the shark in the first episode, I'll drop in and let everyone know.

I hadn't heard that, but not surprising. I thought it was a bit of slog until a little over halfway into the season.

I'm not either. I never got into Lost and Alias happened when I was still working crazy hours. I liked Fringe and we do watch Debris, but I don't go gaga over his feature films. This one is going to have four episodes only. Hopefully it won't get the chance to jump a shark.

I saw the trailer for the series that will be running on Showtime. I stopped watching these shows a long time ago, but I'm thinking about watching this one. I thought others here might want to know about it, too. J.J. Abrams Producing a UFO Docuseries for Showtime
