    Chris O'Brien RIP

Very sad news indeed. Always enjoyed hearing what he had to say.

    Your Paracast Newsletter — May 12, 2024

Long time on and off listener to your show and just read the newsletter about David Biedny. Just wanted to say I thought your words were kind, gracious, thoughtful and straightforward in light of what must've been a difficult time when he left the show under a bit of a cloud.

Pentagon UFO Study - Media Monitoring

Declassified Military Video Shows 'UFO' Off East Coast Here is an additional link, one amongst several to mainstream media reporting that popped up today. What is most interesting to me again is the largely non-mocking taken in these articles. In my mind, this is a real change from what has...

Pentagon UFO Study - Media Monitoring

That sounds like an interesting book. You might like "The Resonance of Unseen Things: Poetics, Power, Captivity and UFOS in the American Uncanny," by Susan Lepselter. I reviewed it a few years back for a small press book review I sometimes contribute to. Speaking of entanglement, I just came...

Pentagon UFO Study - Media Monitoring

Thank you for posting this. Exactly. I read the Tao Te Ching many years ago. I think the religious/spiritual dimension of the phenomenon is not so much inherent in the phenomenon itself, but in how it affects those who have some sort of experience of it. I would suggest there are witnesses...

Pentagon UFO Study - Media Monitoring

Interesting and gratifying that the Comments section has 1300, some indication of the level of interest in the subject. Have no real interest in TTSA as it seems a bit dubious as a serious organization dedicated to scientific inquiry, something I, along with many others would greatly welcome...

Pentagon UFO Study - Media Monitoring

Interest was not so much in posted videos, but in the comments made by the quoted official and the fact that the article appeared in the venerable WP. Taken together with the NYTimes article of a few months back, this level of willingness to report on the subject by well-regarded news sources...

How the CIA Views the UFO Phenomenon (1979)

Agreed. No matter what the underlying reality is, the present state of confusion and contention best serves those agendas and "disclosure-niks" can keep whistling in the dark.

How the CIA Views the UFO Phenomenon (1979)

Just came across this via the Anomalist and was going to post the link but I see you posted it already. Cuts to the crux of the biscuit: official conclusions merely skirted the question by stating UFOs "pose no threat" and that those who know won't talk because there is no good reason to. It's...

Drone was my first thought too. I vote drone.

    Tokyo Sighting

Agreed about fuzzy black spots. However, no one is claiming "aliens from the Pleiades," but merely what it appears to be: unidentified, airborne, and an object. The designation UFO only serves to indicate what it is not, not what it is. All the rest is speculation. Many of us love a...

    Tokyo Sighting

Chris, in response here is a copy of the exchange between my friend and myself re his photo. I don't know if it sheds any more light on the sighting. but for what it's worth I am sharing it. "Dear Nina-chan I didn't even know that I had taken a picture of anything! I just took a quick snapshot...

    Tokyo Sighting

As I mentioned, I know the photographer well - over 20 years - and he told me about the event when it happened. Apparently there were other witnesses and bug, bird or bee it was not. My first thought was "drone." I can ask for any additional details.

    Tokyo Sighting

Knowing the photographer, I know this was not the case. Also, it was taken right around New Year's day and not exactly insect season in Japan. Too cold.

My friend actually sent me this google translation text, but it's so bad it's hard to really know what is being said. I was hoping a more skilled Japanese-English translator might be on the forum and could do better.
