1 Million Letters to Washington (Nov 5) Stephen Bassett

What are your thoughts on the effort put by Bassett and trying to round up people to send 1 letter on Nov 5 each, goal=1 million to ask for details on disclosure.

I guess they open alot of letters because people send money to the new president for some reason and they have to check every letter.

Can everybody on here send 1 simple letter on Nov 5 to the new president.

I thought most of those who believe that there actually is anything to disclose.... also believe that the president is kept out of the loop anyway.
Presidents have tried and failed, what makes Stephen think that a few letters would change things?:p
 
Assuming there is anything worth disclosing, I don't see any amount of letters forcing their hand.

I don't think most Presidents are fully informed on the whole ufo situation, so what could Obama do about it?

Plus, the government has no interest in what the people want or think. Just look at the whole "bail-out" thing. We could send a billion letters, and they would just be disregarded.

Not to mention, as I've said before, if the government had a huge "disclosure" event in the media, would you believe them? It's not like we believe anything they say, anyway.
 
I absolutely believe there is stuff to disclose from certain people buried within the national security apparatus. However like Hoff said, faxing Obama aint gonna do shit.

Lets say Obama gets the bug and decides to look into this... unless he has REALLY high friends or certain people have already made the decision to reveal some information hell probably be told to leave it alone unless he wants his reputation screwed with. Maybe hell even get death threats or threats on his family.

IMO, nothing will ever come out unless there is a huge crisis. I initially thought the current financial crisis was shaping up to be a potential lever, but I dont think so anymore.
 
How many times has Basset done this sort of thing? I seem to recall filling out a petition years ago that was shooting for 1 million sigs and I think Basset was involved.
