1947 Tech (yes another Roswell thread)

Dear all, I know some of you are sick of Roswell, but I am not

I am making this thread to try and find an alternative explanation to the events of 1947.

The UFO (traditional usage: as in ET Flying saucer) theory has been explored in great detail, yet I am not convinced. The Mogul explanation (for me at least) lacks the romance or fear factor to be accurate.

I don't think there can be any doubt that something extraordinary happened at Roswell.

Any and all contributions will be welcome, as well as criticism.

My own particular interest is in what the Allied powers had at their disposal in 1947.
I will attempt to collect and demonstrate some of the extraordinary advances that had been made in terms of technology.

My hope is that if I collect enough information a much more satisfying explanation could be found, I am giving myself full artistic license, and don't expect to convince anybody of anything (except myself of course!) However I want it to be as logical and plausible as is possible.

I will try to break it into segments, which I am pondering now.

Nor I. I just got KDR's latest book.

For quite some time, KDR and others have exhaustively investigated every conceivable prosaic explanation--V1 test, flying wing, Japanese balloon bomb, some nutty experiment involving POWs or people with progeria--and nothing works. I'm sure that, had there been a better explanation than MOGUL, the skeptics would have found it long ago.
