This makes me think of those instances where there seem to have been objects found seemingly out of time. A modern watch on the wrist of a buried man from the 1600s - worked metal objects found in coal seems (everything in science tells us that coal was formed over a long period of time and certainly not in the recent human past).
These tales are of the upmost 'high strangeness'. There doesn't seem to be any explanation other than these objects were found in surrounding matter that is old. Well, then the object is as old. Only other explanation is a star-trek type transporter device but as I don't think we have one of those, then I think these objects were fashioned by people in the past 10,000+ years, people who were advanced in ways we do not recognise.
Possibly quite advanced peoples have came on gone in our planets History. We've only been here a blip.
