A BLAST FROM THE PAST
Welcome back to Dark Matters Radio. Brother do we have a show to start the week! Since I am still dealing with technical problems I have decided (and I have had a lot of requests to do this) to go back thru my files and shows and pull out some “Oldies but not only Goodies, but some great radio. Tonight I found a Gem! If you have gone for the ride here on DMR, the name of Lars Hansson will be familiar. And, if you tuned into the Bob Lazar show on the old Billy Goodman Happening, then you will know who Goodman was. This was the first and only appearance of Hansson on The Happening and it generated some real fireworks! Back then (July-1990) a video tape Lars had produced of the assassination of President Kennedy for research purposes (which suggested the driver of the Presidents car, had actually killed JFK. Hansson had already disproved it but John Lear had given a tape of this to Bill Cooper and Cooper was showing it and selling it at every lecture he gave. Hansson tried to stop Cooper but Cooper told Hansson to get bent. Well, Goodman brought Hansson on … Hansson unloaded on Cooper … and it so happened that Cooper was one of Billy Goodmans best guests. He always generated a lot of chatter.
Lars Hansson

Billy Goodman

Bill Cooper

And to tell the truth, I had forgotten all the fireworks that had happened! In the last half hour of the show listen to the telephone calls Goodman took …there is a surprise caller that … called in!! Only on CyberstationUSA!!

Very much looking forward to this!

Don, one thing that struck me in listening to the Lazar show was that Lazar seemed a lot smarter than I had given him credit for (in my admittedly preconceived assessment). Did you find him to be a very smart man?

Lance

Lance there is no doubt that Lazar is extremely intelligent. Rich Sarradet and I have been to his home, I saw his lab and all kinds of projects he had going on at the time. I also saw his jet car which he had parked on a trailer at his place, so yes I would have to say very smart, and much more than a simple tinker-er.

Hi Don,

Just listened and it was excellent. Billy never could get your name right!
I was wondering if you might clear up one fact that crops up in the Cooper story. Did he have one leg? And did he lose one leg in combat or a motorcycle accident or what?

On another topic, You mentioned an expose on Steven Greer. I find Greer to be one of the most repulsive individuals in the field. Was the expose on your program? I would love to hear it if it ever became available.
Lance

Cooper lost a leg in a motorcycle accident while intoxicated. That was years ago, I believe in the latter 70's if I recall now.

The Greer thing was in two parts .. while my wife and I were still publishing the magazine (UFO) we did an issue with the theme of "cults" and included Greer and his group. They really got extremely pissed and took off after us. At the time Dr. Joe Burkes was the West Coast honcho for C-Seti bunch and he wrote us a 15 page letter whining and crying and offered to debate us on Compuserve. I told Vicki why not have him on UFOs Tonite!, so I invited him on, he showed up in person ... we all had dinner at a CoCo's,. went to the studio ... and he left the show enraged when we were done.

Having put a couple of bikes on the ground I can tell ya it's a battle alright. :-) Everything slows down and you just know your about to go ass over and land hard and you go ohshitttttttttt.....tttttttt.

My wife made me park mine. But, I am gonna get a cruiser one day. (sorry for the thread hijack.) :-)

Would love to hear this.
Thanks!
I notice that hundreds of sites list Cooper as losing his leg in battle! They all use the same language which shows just how much research they do.
Lance

Lance, over the last several years I have had a few run-ins with those Cooper fan boys. Most that I have encountered are disaffected, brain damaged Cooper zombies. That don't know shit nor do they have a clue. Hell, most of them couldn't afford to buy a fracken' vowel. And, by enlarge they despise me because I put a stake in their f---ing hero. The problem is ... I knew this guy from when he first went public. He surfaced on Paranet, on Jim Speiser's BBS, Paranet Alpha, back in July of 1988. I saw his story from day one and watched it emerge, inflate, grow by leaps and bounds, change, turn inside and out, the whole enchilada.

Here is something that most people do not know, nor now these days care about. When Cooper wore his welcome out on Paranet Alpha, and Speiser did not tell me why, my BBS that I was the sysop on, Paranet RHO, I opened it up to Cooper and Lear so they both could continue to operate. This was after the October, 1988 showing of UFO Coverup Live.

Cooper finally turned me off, and to tell the truth ... at the time I had tuned him out, when he suddenly turned on Lear, Knapp, Lazar, Mike Corbin and finally me when I dared to point all this out in UFO Magazine. I then did the two part expose on him ... then both Cooper and I went at it. This asshole was a bully and he tried that on everyone he disagreed with, hell he tried it on me. Now, this may seem like I am now bragging, this being years later, but anyone that knew me then ... hell ask BBridges-Rich Sarradet, I let Cooper know ...anytime ...anyplace asshole ... you and me can do a dance. The fact is ... he is dead now so he could never answer this even if he wanted to ... the SOB knew I would do a monkey dance on his ass if he had the balls to confront me. The fact is the son-uv-a-bitch avoided me at the few places we both ended up at. I wanted that bastard and when he was shot in the police stand-off ... like I said at the time ... was not surprised. He was so despicable, my skin crawled for years when I heard his name.

Hey Lance, this should make you feel very good. Cooper and his fan-boys pissed me off much more than you ever did! LMAO!!!

He was so despicable, my skin crawled for years when I heard his name.

Wow! What a word picture. Coming from someone who has seen the kind of despicable shit in the line of duty as you must have, that says more about Cooper in just thirteen words than everything else I've read about him combined.
