Common Sense? More Like Rape: A Constitutional Rape-ology

PLEASE COPY, EDIT AND DISTRIBUTE WIDELY. Written by Englishmuffin ;-) I cannot vouch for the authenticity of all the purported rapes described below. The below is one humble citizen's attempt to elucidate the state of our nation. I do however urge you to start your own investigation of what is really going on. Is government incompetent or truly trying to destroy us? Does our current government align with that intended by the Framers of the Constitution?

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. (Declaration of Independence)

The Senators and Representatives... and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation. (Article II - The Executive Branch,Section 1)

Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. (Article VI - Debts, Supremacy, Oaths)

Constitutionalists (includes those taking oaths??) beware, your government sees you as a threat:

The Constitution was not meant to list all our unalienable rights, yet so many within government would like to think so: http://www.alternet.org/rights/50404/

Amendment 10 - Powers of the States and People

The framers intended the Constitution to call out the powers of the federal government, all non-stated powers being left to the people & states. The government has completely ignored this Amendment. Many, many programs and laws of the federal government violate this Amendment.
The 10th Amendment was meant to protect against concerns similar to those of the Antifederalists http://mises.org/story/2335

The Communist Manifesto

By comparison, let's look at policies by our government that align with The Communist Manifesto.
[edit]
10 Conditions For Transition To Communism

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.

See Eminent Domain, see many cases regarding federal confiscation of land.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.

We've got that.

3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.

See estate tax.

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.

See terror watch list, no buy proposals. See laws that demand taxes years after you have given up your citizenship and moved to another country.

5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
See federal reserve and calls for world banking systems.

6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in tears after you have given up your US citizenship.

See FTC, USDOT. See federal planned military checkpoints within US and existing NSA monitoring of all communications.

7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.

See federal takeover of GM and Eminent Domain abuse to take over farmland.

8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

See prison labor. See forced service programs for young people.

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equal distribution of the population over the country.

See non-enforcement of borders, growing federal authority over states.

10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.[7]

See current education system, calls for free college education. Many schools now emply children in producing for the state.

It's a shame that abexman put all that time into his initial post and it has pretty much went unnoticed. :frown:

many here believe in aliens, ghosts, interplanetary craft, etc etc... yet deny this Nation, its Constitution and the economy is being systematically dismantled and destroyed by our own government. WTF?

These forums are in support of The Paracast, a show devoted to paranormal topics. That's the primary focus of this place, not political content or it's offshoots. As you rarely participate in the other sections of these forums, you seem to forget that. But that's the deal here, it's why the vast majority of the membership comes to this place, and in fact, many of them are totally turned off by political content and people like you.

I would like to offer my opinion on this topic:

As David mentioned above, The Paracast is devoted to paranormal topics, a subject that covers a wide territory including UFO’s, ghosts, supernatural powers, crypto-zoology, etc. Many other sites, publications, and TV shows dealing with this topic(though not similar in their approach to The Paracast) often choose to include discussion about conspiracy theories as part of their presentation. Conspiracy theories are not, by nature, strictly paranormal, as they mostly involve the doings of flesh-and-blood human beings. That being said, many such theories can and do involve paranormal elements(Roswell, The Philadelphia Experiment, Area 51, etc.), and for this reason they are closely associated with the overall spectrum of paranormal mysteries.

One of the most common forms of conspiracy theory involves those of the political kind, the reason being that they do happen on occasion. Watergate, Iran-Contra, and the Abraham Lincoln assassination are well-known, well documented, conspiracies. When blending conspiracies and politics, however, one must always keep in mind how easy it is for a person to just create such a theory, especially when it’s supported by rumors, misinformation, and the political orientation of the audience to which it is directed. Politics being often highly emotional in nature, it’s not too difficult to conjure up a conspiracy theory that is tailor-made to suit a particular ideology, one that can attract a great number of devotees in a relatively short amount of time.

I wish to be clear on this: I’m not saying that all political conspiracies are false, or bad. The problem occurs when one adheres to a conspiracy theory as an entire philosophy, and then chastises others for not believing in his or her version of “truth”. Truth can be very subjective, and so I believe the presentation of credible evidence is the smarter, and more respectful, way to convince others.
