A good tip for travlers

Curiously Confused
So here is a good tip for Americans traveling in the UK.

In the U.S. the desiel pump is often wrapped in a green sheathing. This sort of sets it apart from the unleaded variety. Well, not so in the UK. In many if not all stations the unleaded variety is wrapped in a green sheathing.

So, if say you are filling up with 2 kids and a wife in a car you are not all that familiar with after dark in an area you are not sure about, and your mind wonders more towards the oddly acting 20 somethings walking near you, you might accidentally fill your desiel car with unleaded gas.

I'll let you know how this ends up. But, lets say this now takes the cake in the contest for the most bone headed thing I have ever done. I really hope this is just a drain of the tank and add a new tank of desiel!

A couple more tips.

1) Europcar is crap. The "Emergency" number has a message that says, "A national emergency condition has occurred and the building has been evacuated. There is no one here to assist you" or somethign close to it. Basically, it is a recorded FU.

2) The "Tax Disc" is like a vehicle registration sticker. It is located in roughly the same spot you are used to.

3) Get the extra "theft" insurance. I did not, so I am probably going to sleep like crap tonight.
