WORLD EXCLUSIVE!

SEAN DAVID MORTON - for the first time speaks on the Rob Simone Talk Show about his federal indictment - June 21st! Listen FREE 4pm PST
ABC news Reported:

Just last week Morton was charged with investor fraud by the Securities and Exchange Commission. He has not responded to the complaint yet.
"Sean David Morton lured scores of investors with his lies and then stole their hard-earned money," Sanjay Wadhwa, assistant director of the SEC's New York Regional Office, told ABC News. "Our enforcement action ensures that his money manager days are over."
In the summer of 2006 Morton started to solicit investors by promising to use his psychic abilities for investment guidance, the SEC alleged in their complaint.

Ain't that the truth! Leave it to Simone to give a scumbag like SDM a platform to sob and plead innocent of all charges. I hope they put him in the same cell as Madoff so that Madoff's butt buddy can bugger Morton too.

Chris, why are you soft peddling it? You are with friends so tell us what you really think .....

I have no use whatsoever for Morton, just on general principles, but the man is innocent until proven guilty.

If I am not mistaken, I've heard an interview with Morton where he described the use of his psychic abilities to rake in the big dough for his investors. It was almost a confession of sorts in light of recent developments.

That wouldn't change the fact that he's entitled to the presumption of innocence until the case against him is proven by the government... and he's also entitled, in our modern media age, to present his side of the story in whatever forum he wants.

Yeah, you are absolutely right Paul. Give the man a chance to explain himself and fully disclose his actions as a money manager w/ psychic powers. Yeah, the dude is innocent until proven guilty. Based on what I've read about his case, the allegations of fraud and securities violations are based on rock solid fact—at least the SEC sure is making it sound that way. "The World's Foremost Ufologist" will reap what he has sown. So will his victims: the fact that anyone allowed SDM to "invest" their money is astounding and merely reflects the greedy, sad state of affairs we endure during these trickster times.

And the fact that people are so quick to rush to judgment reflects the sad state of our legal system, and the lack of respect that people have for it... and I include myself in that group, given that I initially made a post somewhere basically saying that it couldn't happen to a nicer jackass.

Even if SDM is guilty, maybe, just maybe, the SEC would be better served cleaning up the real criminals on Wall Street.

What's worse is that you're absolutely right - the SEC is in essence trying to prosecute SDM in the court of public opinion first, which is not how things are supposed to be done. You don't have to be an SDM fan to decry the way in which his case is being handled.

Well certainly. I agree with you completely of course.

That's kind of the way the US legal system works. Let the media have at it, dredge up dirt and such, corrupt any chance at the individual having a fair trial by jury.

I don't know the facts of the case, I don't wish to. I believe that SDM is a phony and most likely a crook-but I don't base that upon anything other than what I've heard/read previous to this incident. What I can say is that if the allegations are true, I hope the SEC nails him.
