A Scientist Takes On Gravity

Free episodes:

Gravity is really a difficult thing to get one's head around. After all, gravity just is. We don't generally experience non-gravity, nor increased gravity on a regular basis.

I always enjoy reading stuff like this though. I think it shows that scientists don't always accept the generalized truth about a particular subject, and some will go to great lengths to look at them from a different perspective.

I must be dumb because I read the article and I have no idea what the guy's new interpretation of gravity is. :( The article tried explaining it a time or two but umm, I guess I need a better explanation.

So apparently do a lot of physicists. It'll be interesting to see if anything comes of this (not that I'll understand it anyway) but as long as the planets stay in their orbits and we still fall down if we step on a banana peel it's all good.

'Takes on gravity' sounds like a sci-geek euphemism for calling someone fat.

"Yo Callaghan! Looks like you've took on some gravity!"
