Gravity is really a difficult thing to get one's head around. After all, gravity just is. We don't generally experience non-gravity, nor increased gravity on a regular basis.

I always enjoy reading stuff like this though. I think it shows that scientists don't always accept the generalized truth about a particular subject, and some will go to great lengths to look at them from a different perspective.
