Paranormal Novice
While listening to this past Sunday's interview with Walter Starcke, I don't know if it was David or Gene that mentioned that they had received several of Starcke's books to read from Starcke's people. After hearing this I started thinking, one idea that would be beneficial to the Paracast, its members, as well as possibly a charity would be the following:

If the guest for a show has written a book, perhaps they would have not mind autographing a few and donating them to the Paracast to be auctioned off to its members. This was provide some well needed and deserved funds to the Paracast for hosting, etc., provide the opportunity to its members to purchase a cool gift whose proceeds go towards a great cause, and give the guest further word of mouth coverage.

I also thought it would be great to perhaps donate a certain percentage of sales to a charity.

Curious to know what you all think of this.

Thanks!

Hi klar, I like your idea and I just wanted to add another.

Sometime ago a friend of mine gave me a load of UFO books and me being a pretty slow reader thought it would be good to share these with other forum members.
What I thought was if any of the following list are useful just PM me and we can arrange for me to mail them out. All I ask is that you pay via paypal for the postage.

I envisage this as a sort of lending library not just from me but anyone else who might want to get involved with what they have. It would probably be a good idea to start a thread listing what anyone has available day to day, also I thought it would enable any lender to write down there own thoughts on a post-it note or something and stick it in on the relevant page as just another way of sharing ideas.

Call me crazy if you like but I like to share and I think I can trust most people here to
play the game and not hold onto anything once read. Here's the list;

Electric UFO's - Albert Budden
Flying Saucer Viewpoint - Rex Dutta
Witnessed - Bud Hopkins
Alien Dawn - Colin Wilson
The Mothman Prophecies - John A Keel
Stranger at the Pentagon -Dr Frank E Stranges
UFO Retrievals - Jenny Randles

What do I think, Mark?

I think James Randi is a giant cock wth a beard. Seriously though, great idea, and very trusting of you too. When I'm back in the UK next year, I'll hit you up for some swap shop type action.

Cheers
Matt

Sounds like a good idea Klar and everyone is a winner. Dusty your idea is also an excellent one and as you say probably deserves a seperate thread. I would be interested in being involved and forwarding on any books I'd read. I have a copy of The Warminster Mystery which came from my father in law who used to work with the author on a local newspaper in that location. The funny thing is they fell out over my father in law being a non believer. He thought it was all nonsense. I also used to have Time Travel, Fact Fiction and Possibility - Jenny Randles but stupidly left in on a train before finishing it. :o

Hi Dusty do you still have the following books in which I would be interested
  1. The Monuments of Mars - Richard C Hoagland
  2. The Philadelphia Experiment - Charles Berlitz and William Moore
  3. Our Mysterious Spaceship Moon - Don Wilson
  4. Without A Trace - Charles Berlitz
  5. The Roswell Incident - Charles Berlitz and William Moore
as you can see I am just starting out in the UFO field & would be very interested in the above.

Regards evp

Hi evp,

Just got my lovely wife to weigh all those books, here's what it would cost including P+P.

The Philadelphia Experiment - Charles Berlitz and William Moore
Our Mysterious Spaceship Moon - Don Wilson
Without A Trace - Charles Berlitz
The Roswell Incident - Charles Berlitz and William Moore

All regular paperbacks = £3.15

The monuments of Mars - Richard C Hoagland
being a large and thick book comes to £3.75

It works out cheaper to send all of them together believe it or not and that would total £5.65.

As I said in my post just PM me with your address and I will PM you back to give you my wifes paypal details for the postage, though if that's more hassle a cheque would be fine.
One more thing, when you have read one or two would you be so kind as to relist what you have read so other forum members can join in, and dont foget if you have any thoughts, stick them down on a post-it note or something and stick it on the relevant page. :)

Thanks for your interest,

Mark

Hi Mark thanks for the nice day out & the books has anyone else been in touch with you to borrow any.
Thanks once again for your hospitality & books.

Hi evp,

Nope not a soul. Never mind Ernie they're not going anywhere, in time I'm sure people will pick up on the offer. Have you started any yet? No hurry but I'm always keen to hear any thoughts you may have.

Mark

This seems like the only thread to mention the NASA scientist Blumrich (or Blümrich).

Does anyone know whether he's still alive?
