A World With No Powerlines

I hate looking at powerlines. They are UGLY. The Power Company should merge with the public sewer system...then we could just flush our money to them. I don't want my future grand-children to have to look at T. Boone Pickens' decaying windmills littering the landscape. The current state of photovoltaics is pathetic. I would like to see a cheap, portable unit that can power a home. I have a few ideas...no zero-point bullshit or nuke involved. I am reluctant to discuss all my ideas in detail on an open forum like this, but if anyone would like to communicate privately, I'd love to toss some ideas around. I have no degrees beyond High School. My level of mechanical knowledge and craftsmanship is such that I could probably make a working 2-cycle or 'Stirling' engine from billett, but it would take a long time. I'm thinking primarily along the lines of thermoconversion, but there are some very novel possibilities for applying ferromagnetic liquids...and if you don't know what a Fresnel lens is, you may want to go snoop around on the Google.
I'll leave you on that note. I am going to go crack a barley-pop with my shiny new Klein-bottle opener and play my electric guitar with power from a coal-plant. Peace.

Yeah, i think Energy is one of the holy grails right now.
im getting sick of hearing i should use less, and pay a green component on the stuff i do use.
theres a nifty unit that converts tap water to hydrogen using either solar or natural gas (or combo) which in turn runs the car and house.
and im keen on geo thermal and wave harvesters too, not so keen on solar and wind because these factors often change.

im also a big fan of nuclear power, on the premise that we will soon have the technology to take waste offplanet cheaply and easily. perhaps a space elevator perhaps something else.

but energy is a key to our survival as a species thats for sure.

This is likely a fraud, but if not it's pretty cool.

I've seen way too many claims such as this over the years. I doubt we'll be seeing this powering anything.
