That's not as bad as it may get. Part of the problem is explaining physics to non-scientists, and you have to grossly oversimplify. So I'll cut the mustached one some slack there.
 
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the answer was "yes." I've discussed physics and chemistry with some of my former professors and it seemed that there were always more questions to answer after every enlightening moment. And that's the mystery...that's why they kept going. While I wouldn't say it was 'baffling" I would say that sometimes finding out the "why" of physical behavior is a never-ending quest.
