Punk Rockabilly, or maybe Acid Rockabilly. Mojo, being unique, is a bit hard to describe. He could be Hunter Thompson's hillbilly nephew. Or maybe what George Clooney's character in Oh Brother Where Art Thou might be like if he had been born fifty years later and did way too many drugs in high school. Anarchy with a sense of humor. If you drink Wild Turkey straight out of the bottle at parties, you might just like Mojo.

I think psychobilly might be a more apt description for Mojo. If you take Howlin' Wolf, Southern Culture on the Skids, early punk, and The Cramps and put them in a blender you might end up with something kinda like Mojo. He's kind of a maniac. Sucks that it is only available in the US. Here's probably his most well known song:

I met Mojo Nixon in NYC in the 80's. He's smarter than he plays it up to be. Also, he was on a compaltion CD that features a cartoon cover by me (an ego thing).
