Alfred Webre is Insane

Thanks to Don Ecker for alerting me to this gem:

Seattle Exopolitics Examiner: Open extraterrestrial (UFO) contact will occur during Obama years says time acceleration researcher

On our show this Sunday, you can hear Stephen Bassett defend this nutjob. Unreal.

Webre has gone public with some stupid shit, but this takes the cake, and Bassett has no problem giving people like this a platform from which to spread their lunacy. It really makes me wonder who is funding the X-Conference behind the scenes - we didn't get the chance to cover this topic in our conversation with him, but given that he keeps saying he's losing his shirt on this thing - in conjunction with the couch-surfing he's doing to keep a roof over his head - I wonder how Bassett can afford to host the X-Con (perhaps the clue is lurking behind that very name!). Unless, of course, someone is shelling out money to pollute the pool by insuring that any coherent and believable folks share the stage with the likes of Webre, P. Harris, Peckerman, Snoory and the rest of the circus clowns. Fascinating, and thanks to Don for bringing this to my attention!

And of course it is quite a surprise for everyone that Obama didn't mention the passage of our solar system through the plane of the massive black hole in the middle of our galaxy. What a bastard for not letting the public know of this and it's certain consequences.

I am astounded at the stuff Webre spews out. Especially considering the vacancy above his shoulders. To call him insane is an insult to insane people.

link seems down for me. Anyone else able to get it?

Is this Peckmans examiner/blog? If so I can track it through my history from the Meier nonsense a few wks ago.

I only made it through half the article and was like... "Huh?". Black Hole at the center of our galaxy is going to swallow us soon? Not sure I got what he was going on about.

I recall Webre and what's his name Lemberg from back in my usenet days many years ago. They both were always kind to me. I haven't paid much attention to either of them in recent years though.

After reading some Korff stuff, yes, people really can be that crazy.

Did anyone else listen to the audio of the Obama reverse speech?

I cracked up when I heard it.

"Obama knows the power of alien saucers".

It is just sad that he and others are allowed to continue promoting their crap at conferences. If there were only a FEW (meaning one or two per conference) of these loons speaking at these events it would be amusing it becomes very sad when it is the norm.

OK, serious questions:

Is it possible that Webre is not a complete lunatic?? That he doesn't believe a word that comes out of his own mouth, but rather he is spreading all this obvious garbage in an attempt to .....what, I don't exactly know?? marginalize the field??Spread rumor and myth?? Disinform?? Laugh at the people that believe him??

--OR--

Is he truly, and sadly I suppose, an example of a mind gone terribly awry?? A true mental case study.

What do you think?? It is preposterous for me to think that people like him and Salla actually, in all reality, think that what they are saying is true. But that might be the case, right??

He is either insane or he is a snake oil doom peddler. Nothing more. Either way, the "prestige" of being an "authority" or "expert" gets him off. He preys on the dimwitted and impressionable. He is a perfect example of a bad human being. I have little doubt that just like Hoagland, he has convinced even himself that most of this shit is real.

Having listened to his podcast in the past and also seen him speak at the X conference, I think he is either totally out of his mind or he knows something that we don't, although I'm 99% leaning towards the first explanation.

On one hand he is an Ivy League educated lawyer who was asked to look into the UFO issue during the Cater administration but on the other hand the stuff that comes out of his mouth is totally ridiculous and for Steve Bassett to support this stuff is wack (yes, wack!). The only thing that would kind of make sense is if the exopolitics people are on a disinformation campaign, otherwise it's just operation one of us is crazy.

Webre and his ilk made it sooooooooo easy for the Washington Post to do a completely saracastic/Stephen Colbair type of piece on the X Conference a couple years ago which sucks because you have someone like Robert Salas lumped into this group. Son of a b********.

When the US went to war in Iraq and George W got re-elected I just totally stopped watching the news and just lived within my little box because it was soo drepressing. With the bullship pseudo UFO peeps being the public face of this stuff, I'm starting to feel the same way about paying attention to the UFO field and that I should return to my box and stop following any of this shit.

I'd love to have a good excuse to go to the x conference this year, but I just can't seem to find one, I'd rather take my dog to the dog park which is just a couple miles from the Gaithursberg Hilton.

Where do these people come from? What a load of crap. It's depressing to think that people are reading this shite and believing it.

Well, watching your dog relieve himself and going to the conference amounts to the same thing. At least you like your dog.

David,

Have you honestly every considered that Alfred Webre is an honest to god DISINFO agent? I don’t think he is insane as much as he is a paid shill. I understand to an extent that is making “an excuse” for him if this is not true, but this is what I consider him to be.

Everything this guy says follows the CONINTELPRO handbook. All of that 9/11 junk he talked about is fed run, the “no plane” losers are well known in 9/11 activism as “agents” so to speak, for someone running a psyop to discredit any serious discussion.

Pretty much anything he puts out in terms of UFOs follows those lines. To me that seems like a TREND and IMO explains a lot of his actions. He might just be crazy and have no sense of being able to disseminate information, but based on all he has done I would seriously consider him to being paid to discredit everything he talks about.

Yes, I have indeed considered this, but here's the thing: I'm aware that there are people out there who have claimed that I am some sort of disinfo agent, so I'm a bit cautious about making these kinds of comments about others. That said, this idea wouldn't surprise me, especially if the goal was to piss in the pool. I've looked over those supposed Mars pictures showing rock gardens, Martian monuments and beings, and the whole thing is just laughable. Does Webre really believe that he's seeing Martians in some of those images? If so, he's not of sound mind, IMO. If he doesn't actually believe this stuff, well, then you might make an argument that he's actively poisoning the pool, with some sort of bizarre motivation.

I'm pretty sure my mind has been irrevocably damaged by reading those 2 articles.

2012, exopolitics and Reverse Speech...the man's a one-stop shop for garbage.
