Alien Big Cats seen in the UK

Since the 1960s at least, there have been press reports from many areas of the UK of large cat-like animals assumed by witnesses to be pumas or other big cats. My sister saw one of these herself with others in south Wales, has anyone else seen one or have any thoughts on these sightings.

My wife has family near Colchester, Essex in a village called Lawford. Anyway, we were there last year for a wedding and this was a topic on the news. Apparently, someone had seen a very large cat feeding on a sheeps carcus. That caught everyones attention as it supposedly happened not too far from Dedham which is only a few miles away. I think the broadcast said that it was either a misidentification or an escaped exotic pet or something like that. Anyway, we left about a week later and I hadnt thought about it until now.

i think these creatures are some kind of prehistoric animals that somehow managed to survive under the radar.
