I like the external management and monitoring idea. Covers a rainbow of behaviors we can't explain.. abductions, mutilations... etc and most importantly the fact that we're still here to discuss the subject.

Doesn't stop the occasional visits by other civilizations under the same jurisdiction, originating from nearby solar systems, to visit in a 'Christopher Columbus'-type fashion that occasionally crash land ;)
 
There we go. I added "other" as well if you don't mind, so that if people think we are being visited by something but the choice is not there, they can explain it in the thread. Let me know if that's okay.
 
I voted 'other.'

This is because aliens are associated with UFOs and I don't know what UFOs are or represent. Rather than looking at the motivations of something unknown, in my opinion, it's more reasonable to work out what UFOs are in the first place.

It is fun to speculate though... :D

My question should have been.....

Assuming there is alien visitation.... what best describes the intent based on documented behavior.... Should I start another poll ?
 
I think one problem is the abduction experience and the ufo expereince may not even be related. However, after reading Karla Turner and others it certainly appears there is a relationship. I tend to gravitate toward the "military" or human cause that Trained Observer puts out there but at the same time it doesn't seem to be all that tidey. I honestly don't think we are being visited by nuts and bolts starships. But, it is a fun subject to discuss and research. (my reasearch is a bag of chips a soda and google.)
 
I voted for 'science' and for 'other'. I voted other to cover the fact that they may be here for a completely other reason. I don't however believe they control us or the planet or anything like that, if they are in fact real. Nor do I believe they created us.
 
I have never seen, heard, or read anything that led me to believe that we are being visited by nuts-and-bolts spaceships and ET's. Nothing.
It's a fun subject for conjecture, but that's it.
