An Open Minded Skeptic
Looking over the many subject titles I found on this forum, I'm not sure if this post is out of context for the "General Freewheeling Chit-Chat" or not, but I don't think it falls into the other subjects, as the Paracast Show subject is more about current Paracast shows than anything else, and other than that, I don't see a place...so here goes.
As I mentioned some time back in an earlier post, I had a UFO event happen with a friend back in the early 80's. It happened out on Long Island Sound near a beach in Rye, New York. Both my friend and I had been listening to one of the only, and dare I say it BEST paranormal programs out there during the day, namely, "The Joel Martin Show" on WBAB FM, Babylon Long Island. The show had a great deal of influence on us years later to further our studies into the paranormal, occultism, and demonology to name a few, and I was wondering whether or not Joel Martin himself ever graced the guest seat of The Paracast? Personally I think it would be a honor to have someone of his advanced knowledge and wisdom on any show, and as I assume Gene still has some connections in NY, is it possible that this may fall in the realm of a future episode?
The man had more to do about reporting the unknown during the late 70's and early 80's than many, and his work with Psychic Medium George (George Anderson) was some of the most entertaining strangeness I have ever heard.
Anyway, I thought this would be an outstanding episode of the show and if it has already been done by the Paracast (I think C2C had him on once years ago), I apologize for not knowing. If on the other hand he hasn't been on the show, there would be some pretty interesting subjects for both Chris and Gene to ask him....Amityville, George Anderson, UFO's, Long Island's famous UFO crash which was rumored to have been covered up, information on his life and interviews.

In 1969, Martin was news reporting for WBAB radio on Long Island. For years, Martin turned a skeptic eye on topics like life after death, mediums, and other psychic activities. But that was to change very dramatically. The next year he began hosting a weekly talk show which quickly proved popular because it successfully attempted to deal seriously, even scientifically, with such easily lampooned subjects as the existence of ghosts, ESP, séances and unexplained phenomena. It quickly developed into one of the major radio programs of its kind in the country.
