I have always enjoyed watching Ancient Aliens. The show has spectacular cinematography, and takes viewers to wondrous archeological sites around the globe. Perhaps future archeological excavations will unearth valuable information; to date other than unexplainable anomalies, nothing much of value has been learned. It would make more sense to explore what is happening now. The show UFO Hunters was canceled. People have speculated the show was cancelled because they were getting too close to the truth. I don't know why it was cancelled. UFO Hunters was rather cheesy taking on the characteristics often adorned by productions whose primary purpose is entertainment, not education or discovery. I would like to see the same amount of resources invested in Ancient Aliens invested in exploring modern visitors and/or residents. That would prove there is something very strange happening here on earth, and, therefore, not likely to happen. Is there nobody out there willing to invest in expanding our understanding about this world we all occupy?

I think there are those that are or have invested serious time and money in investigating high strangeness, however I'm not so sure they are interested in using what they find to create popular entertainment.

Bill B. has said in at least one interview that UFO Hunters was not renewed because of the cattle fetus photo and story from the S03E02 episode. Apparently there was some material that would have went into season four of UFO Hunters that got put into Ancient Aliens and other shows.

Sure people have invested money and time. In my mind it's a forgone conclusion that the entertainment industry will not do it. I was referring to people sitting on a mountain of money. To have a team of investigators actively working outside in the field equipped with all the necessary equipment to record the phenomenon. It would be feasible to do if funding was available. It's not that a show about real time UFO investigations wouldn't be popular and profitable, I just don't think they want to go there.
