Ancient Egyptians in Australia

I have two things to ask about this.

1st. I am no gold expert, but, over the year's I have been hearing that gold can be chemically tested to finding where a sample of gold come from. The reason I am brining that up is this. I have herd a theroy via word of mouth that the Tutankhamun face mask that is made out of gold was tested at some stage only to find that the gold came from Australia. I have my doughts on this because I can't find anything about it online. Who herd about this?

2nd From time to time I buy my self a copy of a magazine here in Australia that goes by the name of "New Dawn". A while back I reada write up in an issue by Steve Strong with the tittle, "Ancient Egyptians in Australia". The link to it is below. The theory sounds plausible to me.

I enjoy comparing standard academic theories of human migration to alternative theories.

If this subject interests you, first learn the standard theory from places like:
