I'm a 47-year old software developer from New Zealand (currently underemployed, grubbing for contracts. Sigh).
I studied languages and literature at university (my degree was in French...which meant I spent my time in classes full of girls, much better than doing CompSci and being surrounded by...well, you know).

I don't know whether I'm a night person or not, but I basically forgot how to sleep several years ago.

I'm fascinated by the paranormal but frustrated by people who aren't big on critical thinking, the long shadow of Helena Blavatsky and other con artists, and people who bring up Quantum Physics as if it were a Get Out Of Rational Thinking Free card.

I play guitar and tin whistle (feadóg), both badly.
I've been trying to learn to play Sultans of Swing for 30 years. Quite sad really.
