As usual, an excellent show. As I was listening to the riveting
discussion of Arigo, I couldn't help but keep thinking of another
healer: Jesus. Now, don't go off on me! I feel compelled to say
that I am at core Christian doctrinally, but believe there a many paths,
all of which I'm interested in and explore avidly. I think Jesus cannot
be (at all!) discounted as perhaps employing some of the same techniques
as Arigo, though clearly without instruments! There are a number of
scholarly articles and books that use methods that concede that many
of the miracles and healings by Jesus are rooted in some actual event.
One of many such works is by the so-called Jesus Seminar, which are
quite a skeptical bunch. If Arigo can be accepted as performing healing,
why cannot Jesus in much the same vein, despite the absence of video
cameras in his time?! Just some thoughts, and keep up the great work
on a superb show, one I look forward to listening to every darn week!!!!!
