Sunday November 9, 2010, Cattle Mutilation: San Pablo, SE of San Luis, Colorado
Investigated by Thomas Peay, who was called by the rancher to come and investigate what he thought was an atypical livestock death.
Rancher not interested in any publicity and prefers to remain anonymous. Peay conducted EMF and magnetic readings at the site which appeared to show normal readings.
Pregnant, 4 year old. Tongue, bag, sex organs removed. Cow was part of a herd of twelve, and was found up against the fence at the northwest corner of the pasture. Head was facing NWNo unexplained vehicular traffic, lights or helicopters seen near the ranch the nights when the animal was probably killed/died and was then disfigured.
Prefect weather conditions at night for preservation of carcass. Coyotes will not approach carcass, which is highly unusual. Usually a cattle carcass in the SE SLV will be completely scavenged within a day or two. Cow was found after 3 or 4 days, photos taken after four or five days. No tracks, footprints of other crime scene evidence was noted by the rancher or Peay. Obvious bird interest, but they landed on carcass only after thee or four days had passed--this is also very unusual. Bag may have been removed by scavenging birds.
Interesting to note: Next pasture over, 200 feet away from mute site--over the trees located in an adjoining pasture--a large triangle-shaped object “the size of a double wide trailer” was spotted last February by neighbors, a family of three. A second sighting of a similar object was spotted the following month in the same vicinity.
