I just found some of these resilient fuckers in my flat, nothing here to attract them really, no food spilled nor any other thing I can think of. It's tidy here, goddamnit, build your streets somewhere else.

as a lad i had an ant farm, a really big one in my bedroom. bull ants, really big ants, one night they escaped the farm....
I woke up and the roof ,walls and bed were crawling with them. the bed was just this seething mass of them.
