Ok so there has been alot of hype and people in our genre excited about this show. I saw the preview and it looks like it will be a very good show. People like Richard Dolan, Larry Lowe, Steve Hammonds, and others are writing many articles about this.

Of course Richard Dolan worked with Bryce Zabel on his newer book and Bryce Zabel was involved with the T.V. show Dark Skies in fact I think Zabel was the producer. Recently Zabel announced him and Friedman are making a movie called "Magic Men" also included is Don Schmidt

I know Schmidt and MJ12 are highly controversial I am not supporting those stories

however back to 'THE EVENT" Richard Dolan wrote a very good article on what he feels about this show, which is supposed to deal with "the disclosure" topic.

Didn't expect much, but it was watchable. Whatever the disclosure of the show is, has nothing to do with 'reality.' I'll give it two more episodes, which is two more than I gave FlashForward.
 
First episode:

Packs in abduction, missing time, CIA, interned aliens (guantanamo north), men in black, electro-magnetic interference and disclosure themes in an hour LOL.
Family is murdered followed by assassination attempt on president... plane vanishes in mid-air seconds before crashing on president. :rolleyes: . Alien admits it has not told full story to president.

The erratic time-line presentation (back and forth) with repeats is irritating enough and should shake any sane person into putting any alien fantasy to rest. Mission accomplished NBC ;)

Swiss-cheese roller-coaster ride will probably get its holes filled in the next episodes. Can't wait to see how 'cliche' this exercise will get.

I watched Event. I found it fascinating to see the premise imbued with David Ike theory. There are three parts to Ike's worldview, but I can only remember two of them just now. Problem and solution. Create a problem and come up with the solution. For example, in the Republicans' 'The Project For A New American Century', written back in 1997, they wish that if only there was another Pearl Harbor, then we can attack Iraq again, with the blessing of the American People. Flash forward to 9-11-01. Planes fly into building. That is a problem. Solution. Attack Iraq and institute The Patriot Act, etc. I don't want to start a 9-11-01 conspiracy theory debate here, there is another place in this forum for that. I'm just making comparisons, and I'm also afraid that I have my own definite views on things. The Beings in Event, were behind flying the jet airliner toward the President. Then those very same beings, with their seeming-----majical powers, rescue the day, so that, Well, to reference the book of Revelation, "All the world wondered after the Beast, saying, who is liken unto him...." I know that many Paracasters here, have choice words about David Ike, and I'm not an Ike TrueBeliever, but he DOES come up with some deep ways of looking at this world, I for one cannot discount all of it.
