no worries, I went to see Iron Maiden at the Meadowlands friday night and just wanted to see if anyone lived nearby that we could catch a late dinner with at some good local place.

One of my coworkers was there. Said it was so awesome that he felt bad for the kids who were there. Assuming it's their first concert he said, "What is going to top this? Who are they gonna see, Nickelback? How do you go to a Nickelback concert and care after this?"

Well...I think that's true either way. Nevertheless, was it that good?

Mind blowing. Everything from the sound quality to the stage show. Typically when I see a lot of bands, the singer wont try so hard to hit every screaming high to save their voice for the length of the tour. That didnt happen with Maiden...the man hit every note, and well blistered us all. Guitars were mixed way up from for solos which really made them stand out.

Stage show...fuckin ridiculous. The "Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner" pyros were timed to precision-and doing that kind of work before I know how hard that can be.

Theyre playing Columbia, MD in June, which is a 3 times bigger stage production...I cannot imagine. I'm SO there.

Some pics (not all from Jersey but same setup and pyro. The bottom 2 are from Jersey. Not an empty seat anywhere I could see.

I saw them 5 weeks ago in Melbourne AND Sydney in Australia. I would have to agree with your latest post - anytime you hear someone live, you expect something less than the orginal music. In the case of these guys it was spot on perfect. I would have seen them again, but at $150 per ticket and plane costs, I ran out of money after the second concert.

My photos are here if you are interested

I also came across a bootleg recording from the Sydney somewhere back in time show. Since Melbourne and Sydney performances were the same setlist, I can only assume the one you went to would have been very similar.
