I have always followed stories of NASA coverups with great interest and hope that there might be something to discover. Recently a discussion of archiving data on an Apple-related website included reference to a high quality video record of the Apollo 11 moon landing that was simply...lost. The report on this fiasco is at http://www.hq.nasa.gov/alsj/a11/Apollo_11_TV_Tapes_Report.pdf
When I see this sort of bumbling, it becomes very difficult to maintain the belief that NASA could succeed in a sophisticated coverup of, for example, evidence of prior lunar visitors. Oh well.
