Apple Introduces a New Way to Listen to The Paracast

Podcasts for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad on the iTunes App Store

So, does this separate them out of the "music" app? I hope that it keeps the "2x" speed option. That's the only way I listen to my podcasts.

Supposedly it separates podcasts from the rest of the iTunes content, but I haven't tried it yet.

So after playing around with this new app, I'm not liking the way it doesn't sync with iTunes. It doesn't mark episodes as played and iTunes uses the information from my music app in my iPhone - so if they are not played in that app, they are not marked as played. I hope this is just a bug, because I like the app.

The app is awesome. I love it! forward rewind, scroll through with the tape deck option, makes the paracast even better!

Apple has released a 1.0.1 update for Podcasts, as of July 25th, which is available for download via the App Store on your iOS mobile gadget.

Here are the fixes:

• Significant improvements to performance and stability
• Podcasts in your library now show the number of unplayed episodes
• Top Stations now show the podcast title if artwork is missing
• Playback speed is now remembered when playing the next episode
• Fix for a problem where the Subscribe button is inactive
• Resolution of an issue where Top Stations artwork may not appear
