Are you not Curious?

Friendly Skeptic
I've been noticing that people will post links to articles (myself included) and they will be disregarded out of hand because the other party has an issue with the source. For example, I posted links in another thread about how humans use all of their brain, but it was disregarded because the sources (Scientific American and the New York Times) were deemed useless. The same thing happened when I posted about how precognition can be linked to confirmation bias and the law of extremely large numbers, but people decided that since it went against their beliefs, it was unimportant.

Are you not curious of other points of view? I'm skeptical and scientifically minded, and that's why I frequent this forum. It exposes me to different ideas that I would not find anywhere else. For the most part, the discussion is great, but some people seem to be quite close minded.
