Paranormal Adept
This guy is one of my favorite Sci Fi authors. I was looking over the paperback 2001 A Space Oddessy and came across something I had forgotten. A pic of the movie with someone holding a flat device that can display video as well as print. You guessed it....it looks like an ipad, only the book is copyrighted in 1968!

Arthur has said that he arrived at most of his future projections by taking an idea and guessing at the engineering trend in the future. He sure had this one spot on.

I remember that legal battle. Didn't go so well for Samsung did it? I think that some of these sci fi imaginations are so close it's scary sometimes.

Arthur C. Clark also got it right on when he talked about future communications...the biggest blunder though was in predicting that there would be no use for cities because we would do all of our business through our computers. I would give him a B+ on that though......look at ecommerce. There are a lot of people working from home. He may still eventually be correct on that one.

His interest in fractal geometry is another potential technology jump IMO if we can get further into it.
