Good God. Figured some of you will have a field day with this one. Remember, I don't always post what I resonate with. Sometimes I just have to share what stupid shit I come across. Makes me feel better for some stupid reason. I'm not an atheist, but this farthat almost makes me want to become one.

I have no morals. I have ethics. Didn't know what ground I stand on mattered. I'll try and keep that in mind if I ever decide to get bizzy wif duh morals..
 
I made it to 1:16 before turning this shit off. It's a wonder that people like Dawkins and Hitchens aren't out there mercilessly murdering and eating children.

The religious nutcases out there obviously think they have some monopoly on morals. The simple lack of belief for god has ABSOLUTELY NO bearing on what morals or values one might hold. But I'm sure you already knew that. This stuff really pisses me off even though it is utterly unfounded ungrounded ignorant stupidity.

BTW, the priests that like little boys, ... yes,, they are the ones with the high moral fiber. Must be the belief in God huh??

Yeah, I didn't make it all the way through either. But anytime that happens, I know it's a doozy for discussion.

Many atheist follow LAWS. Weird eh? Yeh, funny, in some minds you need a Santa Claus or somethin. Very weird to me. Again, for those who think I'm biased. I'm not, nor have I ever been an atheist. Agnostic is as close as I've gotten. I'm also not gay, a woman or black. They occasionally make sense too... And, I'll occasionally stick up for them.

Seriously. When the core of your argument is "Atheists have no morals because God says they don't" how do you even attempt to respond... man, the stupid... so thick... it hurts...
 
Such people are scarily dangerous. In my ignorance(?), I can't help but be sure in the knowledge that my moral(ethical) foundations are vastly superior to his.

I do not believe that there are any gods but if I did I'm damn sure that my gods would take a very dim view of this man!

I've got rules and they're stricter than most people's. So I made them up myself. What's the problem? I don't need to borrow the rule book of some outdated mystic.

Even if you do believe gods exist, you can still be your own mystic and make up your own rules.

And yes, as far as I can see, morality is very much in the eye of the beholder. That's the whole point; that's where they come from! It's all a matter of what you do or do not prefer(agree with), isn't it?

I prefer not to castigate but, as I said, such-minded people are genuinely dangerous and not merely brainwashed.


Additional:

It seems that prophets always end up by agreeing with what gods tell them. Is this just coincidence? It's deeply suspicious to me. But don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against gods. After all, the word "god" is nearly the same as the word "good". (Is that another coincidence?)

In the final analysis, it's people telling me what kind of god to believe in that bothers me most.

The beautiful thing about the internet is that it has provided a common medium for all men and women to be able to communicate their thoughts and ideas freely and equally without any regard for educational background or social class. Unfortunately, this has also proved to be its biggest curse as well.
 
What's funniest to me, is there are plenty of Catholic Priests, Reverends, ministers and Clergy all over the world who have no morality what so ever.

Yet, I'm supposed to believe that the Atheists are the worst?

Having Ethics and Morality is something that is instilled into you by your parents. God has little or nothing to do with how you develop as a person, as God is an imaginary influence, where as the real world is what makes you who you are.

I might be an asshole, but at least I have some ethics and morality.
 
Atheists are just as religious as the Pope. Learn to pull the wool over your own eyes. Praise "Bob!"

It's similar to debunkers being as much believers, or disbelievers as the believers they ridicule. They just have different conclusions.

I will say that by in large, Atheist put more thought into things than the usual religious people I observe and I guess I'm starving for an ally and see a little bit of potential in them from time to time. Meanwhile, can't find anything worth salvaging from the typical religious people. And I've tried. I really have tried. I've either failed miserably, or it isn't there.
