Australia the cradle of civilisation?

Steven & Evan Strong - Hour 1 - Aboriginal Origins & Egyptian Glyphs in Australia
October 18, 2013
Steven and Evan Strong join us from New South Wales, Australia to discuss their claim that Aboriginal people set sail from Australia, 50,000 years ago. They sailed to and settled in America and visited many other places including Egypt, Japan, Africa and India. Their theory states that Aboriginals, the first Homo sapiens who evolved before the sapiens of Africa, gave the world art, axes, religion, marine technology, culture, language and surgery. Weaved into this story is that of the Kariong Glyphs, a group of approximately 300 alleged Egyptian hieroglyphs in and around an area that is also known for its Aboriginal petroglyphs. Steven and Evan have developed much of their work from consultations with Aboriginal people in Australia. They claim they have rediscovered a hidden history of our origin as humans and have written several books on the subject including Forgotten Origin, Constructing a New World Map, Ancient Alien in Australia and the latest one, Shunned. In the second hour, we elaborate on the myths connected to this origin story. We'll discuss recent archeological finds and what approach they have to these discoveries. There are some startling and extraordinary claims. We'll ask about who is overseeing this work and what is next in order to secure these sites. How will these results impact our understanding of human origins?

Very interesting thank you for posting.

I think the hieroglyphs were copied from an "Egyptian hieroglyphic dictionary"* by an Australian soldier, who had served in Egypt during the first world war.

* for example this one published in 1920:
An Egyptian hieroglyphic dictionary : with an index of English words, king list and geological list with indexes, list of hieroglyphic characters, coptic and semitic alphabets, etc. (1920)
Author: Budge, E. A. Wallis (Ernest Alfred Wallis), Sir, 1857-1934

book can bee read online here: http://archive.org/details/egyptianhierogly01budguoft

The idea of the soldier carving the hieroglyphs comes from this article

I think if you listen to the Red Ice Radio podcast you will hear about why these glyphs found in and around this site and others are not just egyptian glyphs, they have recently discovered glyphs which are not egyptian but are said to be a type of hieroglyph that predates egyptian. Regardless it is fascinating to say the least.

I am personally convinced that our ancestors where able to circumnavigate the globe a long time before that which is commonly accepted by historians, and I see more similarity than difference in our cultures.

My understanding is that the hieroglyphs used by Egyptians were always very "neatly" aligned and can be clearly read (when there is no damage). They are also invariably in prominent positions/locations. We must also consider that the tools required to carve hard stone accurately are made of metal, which as I understand it, were not introduced to Australia until after the arrival of "Europeans"(1606 AD).
I would be interested to learn whether a "hammer" and "chisel" were used to produce the glyphs seen in the video, (this could very easily and cheaply done using an "impression material" e.g silicone putty or "Alginate" and comparing the "marks" to existing "native Australian" tool edges).
My suspicion is that they (the marks) would match "metal" chisel marks.
And therefore in my opinion date them (the glyphs) to a date after the arrival of "Europeans".

To my mind it seems very unlikely that the "native Australians" would not have embraced metal tools, if they had been exposed to them from the date suggested in the video.

Amazing if true![/quote]

It would make sense that Homo sapiens started in Australia, that is why we are such an up side down species.
