Bachmann's 'good news': End of the world is near | MinnPost

LOL... why am I not surprised. This fabricated shutdown is not about disrupting the US government its about triggering Armageddon and rapture on a planetary scale. Well I guess we've got one last week before a global financial meltdown. Sorry China... sniff.... the party is over. That trillion you invested in America... well... sniff, you can kiss that goodbye as our credit rating is shit and our dollar worthless ;)

How this woman got elected is a total mystery... I need some enlightenment (WTF Minnesota !). This is material for the Paracast !

Now what this says to me, I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, as I look at the End Times scripture, this says to me that the leaf is on the fig tree and we are to understand the signs of the times, which is your ministry, we are to understand where we are in God’s end times history...Rather than seeing this as a negative, we need to rejoice, Maranatha Come Lord Jesus, His day is at hand...When we see up is down and right is called wrong, when this is happening, we were told this; these days would be as the days of Noah.

One might ask: end times for what or for whom? An all-white, all Christian America? Sometimes is cigar is not just a cigar and what public figures consciously say has deeper roots.

There is an element of the religious delusional that runs through this situation that is quite disconcerting. It reminds me of the same type of psycho-babble we used to hear coming from Iran when the wild voice of the threatening zealot used to speak for them. I feel really bad for those good Persian folk that have to suffer under surreal religious rule. Would America allow itself to ever be led by threats of believers who warn about the leaf on the fig tree?

BTW,....if Michelle Bachman is right, I hope there's a "personal utterly self-destruct" option, because I just couldn't live in a universe with her "religion" being the correct one.

I don't think you need to worry about that, exo-doc. Considering the length of time most religions have been in existence, if christianity was the 'correct one' it would have been obvious to the world, by now, not just a select few narrow minded individuals.

Myself, I'm not going to lose any sleep over this.

Ummm the bible says:
No man knows the day or the hour save the father in heaven.
So is she the father in heaven?

Well......she'll say that she was 'given' insight about the approximate time and date, I'm sure. After all, she's one of the 'Children of God', therefore she is enlightened and....special in God's eyes, right? Because of that, she has it ALLLL figured out.

The religious could find prophecy in a bucket of puke. The financial collapse has been known to be coming for years if not decades. You just had to have the eyes to see. Should have bought gold and silver when you had the chance. Those little pieces of fiat currency might be becoming toilet paper. All those qualitative easing...aka ...massive infusion of imaginary money...hyper inflation. Just wait. Make sure you have lots of food and ammo, and enjoy the ride. The world will not end, just this BS American dream that never really existed. We live in a time that will be the topic of many history books. Shit is going to get real bad...get your waders on. Help your neighbor. Good Luck.

The less said about Michelle Bachmann, the better.
When I saw the word "Bachmann" in the title, being a Canadian, I naturally thought of Randy Bachman who
although generally quite awesome, is also responsible for writing a song I had never liked much
because it seemed to be a bit too much of a slam on our good neighbors the Americans.
The song of course American Woman. Now I suddenly have a reason to like this
song, somewhat ironically because of an American woman in politics
with the same last name of the writer of this song.

Bachmann gives Bachman's song new life :D .
American Woman - 1970

Somehow I keep coming back to the old adage that if you talk to god you are considered holy. If you hear god speaking you are generally considered cuckoo.

When you think about the list of Founding Fathers: Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Monroe, Franklin etc. and you compare them with todays crop of knucklehead political leaders, it makes you want to cry....

On the bright side , an end to the end would mean an end to Bachmann.

She'll have her 3 minutes of fame as a pigeon politician... fly in, skawk and make a bunch of noise, shit all over everything, then fly away. In 6 months after she's out of office, people will forget her. I'd venture she won't even leave a 'legacy' behind. Like Christianity, she's insignificant in the face of reality.

Hey I just thought of something, isn't pixel from Minnesota ? I'll apologize for Nancy "'Death of 40 hour work week means more time to follow your dream" Pelosi (I'm from California) if he apologizes for Bachmann. :)

The problem with characters like Bachmann is: what damage did she do while being in the Congress. How many people pay that close attention to what bills these people support? That legislation will linger long past the time she leaves.
