Badlands Radio Captain Jack Harris

Free episodes:

Think that's the same guy who had me on his show back in 98 I think. It wasn't called Badlands radio then though. I just listened to a little to see if I recognized his voice awhile back. Never got around to listening to any more.

Thanks for the reply, Aaron.

I have never heard of this guy but the name did remind me of this awful British science fiction show called Torchwood. The character was Cpt. Jack Harkness. GAWD was that a terrible show!

Thanks for thanking me, even though I didn't answer your question lol. Sorry, don't know what's happened to him or his show, if I find out I'll let you know.

Was his show any good in your opinion?

I did a search and this came up.
Badlands Radio - Paranormal Radio Studios on USTREAM: Every Monday - Friday from 9:00PM Eastern time until Midnight, enter the Badlands with Captain Jack ...

Last broadcast 5 months ago?

These are the podcasts from a 24 hour or so radiothon Harris did last year. I can't find anything from him since. His old web page was www.badlandsradio.net

Thanks once again.

Ron, the guy had been around radio for a while when he moved to Texas and was doing a 5 night a week paranormal show from a studio near Lake Brownwood in Brown County.

RoadWitch, I'm with you, I miss the show also. I did find one small bit of info at the following web page. It mentions a guest who was to be interviewed on Badlands Radio back in February, but the interview never happened because the folks at Badlands had a "personal emergency."

I hope the Emergency was nothing too dire!! ... I had a look around at several sites in the vain hope of rooting out any kind of information but no luck .. Captain Jack,WHERE ARE YOU?!? ....

Yea it appears that Capt. Jack and crew have "disappeared." Did anyone listen to any of the shows leading up to the end of March. There was one night where some people were outside looking at the wiring or something. Within a couple weeks after that the show was off. I did email Astroengine (he had once hosted the show), to see if he knew anything, but have not heard back. Capt. Jack would sometimes play some of our music (GraceGravity). He had a great show, an important show that provided good information. I hope all the crew is alright and the show will reappear.

I just found this thread via a search. I wonder why it didn't show up when I had done searches before. I too had wondered what happened to Captain Jack and Badlands Radio. In a bit of a roundabout way, I just found out that his show is back as of mid October. He said on his first show that he had a personal issue and was out of the country for awhile. He is now in a new studio that is just getting set up so I don't know how regular his shows will be until the office is completely finished.

The new website:

I always enjoy his shows and I'm glad he's back.

Thanks very much for the response and the link, archangel33, I look forward to hearing him once again.

I came across this post and thought it was my duty to respond to it my self but first I want to say thank you to all of you out there that have displayed your support and your love to the program. I have got a few hundred emails I still need to respond to in my email box to others that have emailed me directly.

Many of the emails have been asking where we have gone and that is no easy answer. But I will do my best to give you a few outlines. The first and most important is that I am no longer in the United States. I have gone as far south as one can get without freezing their rear off. I am now located in New Zealand. The new studio is almost done and shows will be back on schedule coming up in a few weeks.
Some new projects I have been involved in will be unveiled on the show but when that exactly is dated to happen is unsure but I will give a hint and only here. Being apart of the rediscovery of one of the great wonders of the world after it was believed to be lost forever is pretty exciting.

We do have some of the past greatness from my old friend playing on the live stream now. Its on and off throughout the day and night so you are welcome to listen in and more information about when the first broadcast from the other side of the world will be on the website soon!
Thank you everyone and thank you staff of The paracast.

Jack,

Man, you're a long way from Texas! Thanks for the reply and the link. Good luck in your new location and I look forward to hearing the show once again.
