Bands you're digging right now

Japans Underground Robot Army
For me it's a band called "The Sword". I had first heard of them a few years ago, but never really delved into them until I saw them open for Down and Metallica in Ohio back in last November. I enjoyed the show but never bothered to pick up the records until a few weeks ago when I found both their CDs in one convenient package for a decent price.

They kinda remind me of Black Sabbath, but tuned down into C standard. Really crunchy, bluesy, classic rock.

Hope you enjoy this clip, it's off of their first album from I beleive 2005.

When I'm not listening to Zep, I have B-Tribe playing.

Well, I have Tool playing right now, so I think that's all that needs to be said for me. Yeah, I know, Tool fans are notorious for being diehard, but there's something about the Lateralus album that will never get old for me. It's the only band I've ever listened to consistently for more than seven years at least once a week.

Ahhh yes, TooL. Must say I personally find it difficult adjusting to bands who adopt a new sound but TooL's progression has been very steady climb.

Ah, an off topic post. Good!

I go through phases until I find something new, but these are recent picks:

Messer Chups (surf-horror-cheapie sci-fi movie influenced band from Russia.)
Willie Nelson's Teatro album.
The POLYSICS (Japanese band with heavy DEVO influence.)
Very old DEVO ca. 1975-78
12 covers of the standard "Chinatown, My Chinatown" from 1915 to 1975.
Sleater Kinney (Older riot grrl band.)
The Centimeters (Uncategorizable sound. Sorta creepy/ ominous.)
