Battle Of LA UFO: Stunning new Photo enhancements

The Battle over LA is a case I've been familiar with for a long time now. It isn't dealt with much and I find that a shame, since it is quite an impressive and interesting case. In my opinion at least. Anyone have any ideas as to what was behind the events?

This case took place before 1947, which many researchers say is the modern era of ufology (I'm not one of them).

Awhile back I had audio of a news broadcast about this case. I deleted it recently needing to make room on my drive for other things. If you are interested, just say so and I'll relook for it on the net. Figures. Anytime I delete something I end up wanting to discuss it somewhere and wish I hadn't deleted it.

Wow, the quality of that photo is pretty clear. I wonder what photo analysts such as Jeff Ritzman have to say about it.

Amazing! I have heard about this on several occasions, but never saw the photo. Now that's a light in the sky that I would put a serious amount of consideration into.

Yes. They were shooting at something and there was a huge black out along with it. Something one would think only happens in sci-fi, but apparently not.

The DC fly over fleet of ufos is also interesting. I heard the same thing happened on it's 50th year ann. somewhat recently. I have very little info. on it however. The ann. event, not the initial one (some say two, since it happened one or two weeks a part)

This is certainly one of the more compelling cases in UFO history.

I highly recommend the link provided by AL (thnx!) to Bruce Maccabee's image analysis, it's fascinating and also includes some testmonials by people who witnessed the event personally.

A news show dealing with it. I was surprised to see this, given how under reported this case is.

James Oberg did a great job explaining this case as usual. You can always count on him. Remember..... Do not have caps on when calling this a ufo case kids. Get it? Got it? Good.

I always thought the point of that photo was to show the white dots around the light, but are we now suggesting that there is one big UFO in the center of where the lights meet? Is that why the lights do not continue past that point?

Some are, yes. Others want you to think it's a balloon.

i have looked at this very close in photoshop many times and i feel there is a disk shaped object within the image.

Perhaps you can show us your enhancement to see this? Thanks.

For a time I thought that the eye witness reports from the Battle of L.A. in which many people thought there was a squadron of planes (some did not) was severely damaging to the case and the witnesses; ..that they must be idiots.

Fact is this thing flew along very slow and they could not take it down. The fact that many seemed to recall it being a squadron of planes from this single "balloon". This shouldn't necessarily harm the case.. Why?
Screen memories.. How else do people mistake a blimp shaped object for a squadron of planes? Of course don't share this theory with hardcore skeptics because it won't get anywhere.

Sometimes people simply see what they want to see, or what makes sense to them. A hostile squadron of planes is easier to rationalise than an invulnerable UFO.
