Best Bigfoot Books

Free episodes:

I can't think of any off the top of my head. I don't think there's much out there by way of a comprehensive work by an author with a name, but I could be mistaken. I never had much luck finding anything at least.

Maybe that can be Chris' next writing project.

What are some recent books on Bigfoot that anyone has read and
think are worth reading.

I have been working through a couple Dogman books, which aren't Bigfoot (although the books included some mentions and comparisons to the famous cryptid). I also recently read Stan Gordon's first casebook which was really good and to the point (and has Bigfoot cases in it). It's a short read, though. I just got his second case book in the mail a day or so ago and it looks much bigger but I haven't read through it yet. If you like a straightforward telling with no fluff, Gordon's books are good (or they have been so far). Of course I am a little biased because I live in Pennsylvania. :)

Even though they aren't about Bigfoot in particular, David Paulide's Missing 411 titles are very intriguing (I joined a conversation about them and shared more info in this thread: Missing People....lots of them | Page 3 | The Paracast Community Forums ). They are about missing person's cases some of which may be attributed to such a creature. It's another very straightforward layout with cases and a few notes from the author grouped across each section. No fluff or anything like that really. I think I posted some photos I took of one case in particular further down the thread if you wanted a little preview.

Paulides was a Bigfoot guy before I knew about his 411 books. I haven't checked it out yet (I definitely plan on doing so) but he also has The Hoopa Project: Bigfoot Encounters in California and Tribal Bigfoot.

I also finished Monsters of Pennsylvania by Patty A. Wilson recently. and it was a decent book but it kind of felt more like a rehash of previous stories or even folklore at times. Maybe a better title for someone who wants a little more entertainment than fact and research.

And if you happen to find any good titles, please let me know. I would love to check them out! :D

Its not a book but try looking up "survivorman bigfoot interview" the guy from discovery, the one done by joe rogen is the longest at about half an hour. In the interview he mentions a groupcalled sylvanic bigfoot reasearch, im not sure in there credibility so geain of salt with this whole post.

Also a youtube channel called "ontario bigfoot" had my attention recently. Im not to big on books as alot of the information i get in research is non verbal. So like i said grain of salt.

If you like i could keep my eye open anytime i see something interesting on the topic and post it here for you, would you like that?

I just got monsters of WV and it has one chapter on bigfoot. But the book is only 134 pages
and does not cover much in detail.

It's not recent...but, I think Jeff Meldrum's book is the best "scientific" look at the topic. Loren Coleman's books are all great chronicles of sightings with some theories in the mix. Many Bigfoot "enthusiasts" overlook the older books by folks like Ivan Sanderson and Grover Krantz, but they are fantastic resources. Cryptomundo has a great top 10 list of Bigfoot books...most aren't recent though - Cryptomundo » Top Ten Bigfoot Books + 20

There is a good beginners guide out titled " Squatching Novice Guide BOOK" which I think you might enjoy, also the same author has a fiction based clean reading series with the first called, "BALANCE" with a Bigfoot theme, but in this one the Bigfoots are good guys with a couple bad ones thrown in.
