I have ZERO image analyzing skills, maybe one of the mebers can have alook at these pics and test for authenticity.
I am simply throwing this out to you all.
If these picstures where only true!

I found these absolutely AMAZING pictures on one of my fave websites, Russian website called fishki.net they carry some interesting pictures and videos, updated daily in the week.<o></o>
The pictures are some of the most amazing and best of UFO's/Flying discs, cigar shaped craft. Absolutely AMAZING ! I don't think I have ever seen any pics like this EVER.
What would be great is if one could get the ORIGINAL uncompressed and unaltered pictures, the ones taken with the (digital) camera and have them independently analyzed for authenticity.
I don't speak Russian but my wife does. With some effort one MAY be able to get the originals.

These days anything is possible with Photoshop and a skilled hand. That is why it's crucial to have the pictures analyzed for authenticity by a recognised Photoshop expert (like someone who wrote the manuals for Photoshop).<o>

</o> If these pics are actually true, then this would be the most amazing evidence!<o></o>

Can you post the pics here that youre talking about? Im not really sure what Im looking for. So far I cant find any "cigar" craft photos.

The only "disc" shaped object is this:

IMO this is fake. Water doesnt behave like that. Maybe in a video game, but not real life. If they had left it so the water doesnt appear to bevel over the object it might look more convinging IMO.

I could be wrong of course. David will say otherwise if thats the case Im sure.

But really wanted to see this cigar photo.

is this what you meant?

No idea what to make of that. There are some interesting shots though.

I like this one:

Your guess is as good as mine. I hope theyre genuine! The idea of finding a mother load of genuine photos full of mysterious anomalies on a Russian language page really appeals to me for some reason.

The vast majority (99%) of what's on those pages is Photoshopped, sorry to be the one to tell you. Some of it is OK Photoshop, much of it what I would categorize as ho-hum, a few of the pieces fairly talented work, but it's all hocum.

That's a photo of a sunspot, and the "surface" of our sun, in the background.

Thanks David,

As the saying goes, when something is too good to be true, it usually just that.

I am listener who recently (1,5 months ago) discovered Paracast on iTunes. I'm still cathing up on all the episodes (currently at mid-April 2007) so it will be a couple more weeks before I am up-to-date.
I appreciate your honesty, sceptism and seperating the wheat from the chaff. You are doing good work guys :)

Some of the pics looked very suspicious to me, especially the cigar like 'craft'.

lol - well, yeah, that appears to be an ACTUAL cigar!

Now thats something Id like to see:D

Well, first of all, something just doesn't add up with these photos. I take it from this sequence we are supposed to believe that a saucer shaped craft was floated to the surface of the sea, taken aboard a ship, then examined.

The scale of the saucer changes though. When it is in the sea, it is larger in width than any ship seen. Then we see it aboard a ship. Then we see it being examined by men where it is only maybe 15 feet across.

I can't read a word in Russian, but I think it's safe to say that these pics are either photoshopped (and some of them are really lousy in that sense) or just pictures where actually nothing extraordinary is seen.

The match between the pyramids of Giza and the three stars in Orion's belt, for example, is less impressive than it seems. Even if it was an intentional alignment (and scholars are not sure), some experimental archeologists say it takes a few sticks, a few meters of rope and a little bit of naked-eye observation to align a building to any star you'd like.

The black-and-white picture of round pebbles, near the end of the gallery, is an actual photo of Martian soil taken by one of Nasa's Martian rovers. Scientists were not too impressed as well, since there are many natural geological processes through which those could form. It happens here on Earth all the time, too.

I like the "pimp-my-stealth-bomber" ones.

And I don't know about the one depicting pyramids in the jungle. I guess I have read something, maybe last year or so, about scientists finding ruins of a lost city in the depths of the Amazon forest. I'm really not sure. It might be photoshopped as well.

But pyramids are common in cultures around the world, and once I asked a friend of mine, who is an historian, why would that be.

The explanation he gave me was "if you want to build something huge and stable but you havent yet come up with technologies such as the column or the arch, there's not much you can do but to pile up stones".

Looks very much 3dStudioMax generated.

Just look at the reflections. If that thing's real and it's silver then I don't care how high up it is or how big it is, the top half will reflect the sky and the bottom half the ground.

It does neither, it's just some generic reflection mapping.

You guys beat me to it. I'm a firm believer in the "if it's too good to be true then it probably is." I didn't see a single compelling photo in the mix.

I am very suspicious of sites like this and would avoid clicking on any website from Russia or Eastern Europe with downloadable pictures. There is a good chance you'll get a virus or spyware. Someone ought to scan them before posting.
