The Origin of Betty Hill's Star Map

This is a picture of a map that hung in the Rockingham (New Hampshire) Hotel where the NAACP held its meetings in the early 1960s:

If this guy at ufor.blogspot is right, the Betty Hill starmap appears to be nothing more than a clear case of confabulation. So much for the Zetas.

Possible but then again it could simply be a coincindence. This line of reasoning is specious and assumptive. It's unfortunate that Betty is no longer around for someone to bring it to her attention.

And you can say that with such unequivocal confidence on the basis of what special knowledge? That's just one possibility. None of us is sufficiently informed to say for certain what happened to Betty and Barney Hill. I don't dismiss the idea of a psy-op, and in fact, feel it makes more sense than an alien abduction. But I fully acknowledge that none of us will never know for sure. So there can be no justification in any of us claiming that we know the absolute truth of the matter.

The work of Marjorie Fish which proved scientifically through thousands of hours of painstaking work that there was less than a million-to-one chance the star map was fabrication or hoax, makes this look like crap. I have read Captured and am familiar with Fish's work. You need to be more specific, however. Throwing around generalities like "these books make this look like crap" only highlights your will to believe. These maps are almost identical, for Christ's sake. This is a significant problem for the starmap.

This doesn't mean that Betty and Barney Hill didn't have what appears to have been an abduction experience. It only means that her starmap may have been more fantasy than reality.

The statistics vary from 1-10000, to 1-1000000 if I remember correctly. Depends on who you ask. And this according to Friedman on one of his Videos, either FLying Saucers are Real 1 or 2.

There's a good debate between many different experts that happened in the 70s posted in another Hill thread. Both sides have good arguments for and against whether or not the Star Map came from aliens.

There are some similarities to the map.
Saying it's a significant dent to the case is Richard Hogland's face on Mars.
pick and choose.. pattern recognition problem..
Human over-willingness to find patterns that are ultimately nonsense.
It's a pinprick to the case IMO.
It's not about my "will to believe"; I would probably be a lot more blunt in calling this crap if this had to do with some down to Earth court case.
