Bloodline Question for Don

Free episodes:

Ron Collins

Curiously Confused
Hi Don,

I just watched the "Bloodline" movie. Very well done as documentaries go. I remember you had an episode about this movie. It certainly makes a good case for things. Though, I still came away from it thinking that there is an above average possibility that this was a huge hoax.

Specifically the Frenchies in the various coffee shops and the main Priori spokesman seemed too..... odd. The video footage of the bottle discoveries and the fortuitous timing of the film maker was a bit troublesome as well. Though, it was all brought home by the scientifically verified and evidence. I still think they should tread lightly.

Also, the Vatican bombshell at the end was the most confusing. Especially considering that throughout the film there was this theme of people dying in connection with covering it all up. They even go as far as to openly suggest that the church is somehow sponsoring the hits on these folks. Anyway, assuming that you have seen the film what are your opinions?

I love all these alternative faith stories especially the Jesus in India stuff very interesting. As a Catholic i always found it very strange the're is no story for Jesus after the age of 12 until he reappears again at the age 32 very odd. I do believe a man( jesus) existed at this time and was put to death by the Romans. But i have wondered always was Jesus his first name or just a Title he received from his followers. Before Jesus alleged Birth, the Greeks of classical times referred or gave title to their Priests and Prophets the name of Jesus.

Hi Ron. Well, as far as this goes ... I know Rene Barnett very well. When my wife and I were still publishing UFO Rene was our managing editor for a number of years. When Rene and her former partner were "screening" this film we were invited to the screening and watched it. I will tell you that we were both very impressed with the information. Rene was my very first guest when I re-launched Dark Matters. The entire thing about MM going to France (then Gaul) and the fact that there was a Jewish enclave there quite amazed me. I mean I knew that Rome had many Jews there but I never considered that they also had emigrated into Gaul.

The film had many leading indicators that threw a very light than we get from the Christian Bible and I was privy to information about the alleged tomb of MM that was found in Rennes le Chateau and alleged involvement of the Templers. According to what Rene told me, this entire mystery has had the Vatican "very nervous" because of allegations that 2,000 years ago "the fix was in" on the fact that Christ did not die on the cross. Usually a person that was hung on a cross would last for days, dying in agony. Christ was only on the cross hours when he "died." What do I know, however? Not much more than anyone else. I saw the film, know Rene and she believes in what they uncovered in the case.

There is a mysteries conference that Rene is hosting this summer called ESOTERIKON 2010, Hidden mysteries conference takes place July 2-5 at Omni Shoreham Hotel back in Washington DC.

I consider this case to be a genuine "head scratcher" and have kept my mind open concerning it. If you want to see what they have and have done Rene has a Bloodline website where there is a lot of information. Go to Bloodline - The Movie - Official Website for more information and if you have any questions I can call Rene and see what she has to say.

Do you know Holger Kersten's work on this subject and especially on the so-called "Turin Shroud"? It's really good. I read "Jesus Lived in India" a few years ago and found it to be a deeply impressive and scholarly work. The information he dug up was a real revelation. Apparently the Rozabal in Srinagar is now the focus of attention of thousands of visitors every year, even though it's a war zone and legally off-limits.

The MM-went-to-France belief is very old, and there may be something in it. But the evidence for Jesus living in Kashmir between the age of 12 and 29, and again returning in his final days, seems quite compelling.

I don't Archie not aware of his work. I never believed or took any interest in the whole Turin shroud stuff to be honest. Ya it explains the gaps alright, but there might have been alot of men called Jesus during these times who preached and expressed their particular faith to people who were willing to listen and follow. I'm reading an interesting article at the moment about the "Knights Templars" from Scotland. There is a myth that these particular Templars brought the alleged "Holy Grail" and other treasures to Canada (Nova Scotia) and they buried these treasures there. There is some evidence that Christopher Columbas father in law was connected to the knight Templars and our friend Chris might have indeed received his information about the strange land to the west from his father in law. Maps things like that.

took a quick look at the Bloodlines website, and all I really saw was a marketing plan that is poised to cash in on all those folks who believe the DaVinci Code is actually a piece of historical fact disguised as fiction.

That there is a mystery surrounding the life and death of a man named Jesus can be agreed to by all without harming anyone's religious beliefs or or atheism or agnosticism.

Maybe he did father a child by some female - who knows? Putting the Priory of Sion down as a historical society that actually existed beyond a hoax cooked up in the 50's or 60s stretches the truth so far that when it snaps back to knock you silly, you have entirely forgotten what it was you were stretching in the first place.

Fiction seems more desired than the truth to many, yet the truth is more mysterious and profound than any fiction could ever aspire to be.

that's my two-bits worth of philosophy for the night on this subject.

yeah, I know the word "Code" appears twice in the first sentence, not a typo, and cannot edit it out. oh well. so much for sounding intelligent.
