Back in the early 70s, Emenegger was used by the DoD as a means of gaining intelligence. As a film maker, they could send him to locations and use the information he unwittingly recovered. He wasn't naive for long...

In popular ufology, there are stories and rumours of certain people being approached by the USAF or guys 'in the know' and being invited to see smoking gun evidence of actual crafts and aliens. Emenegger was one of them. He was invited to make a documentary about the USAF knowledge of UFOs and ET critters. The shiny carrot was footage of an actual landing and contact at Holloman AFB.

With all the 'paranormalization' of the subject recently and all this talk about demons, I think a few readers will enjoy the interview. Not a single demon! It's bare-bones ufology at its best. We've got Corso in there (Emenegger thinks he's a BSer) and shady USAF doings...even Don Keyhoe passes through. In the light of Pilkington's Paracast interview, this also shows the crazy business of misinfo and disinfo at work.

Indeed it was a very good interview, and I'd never heard Emenegger tell his story before. I think he was just being used and jerked around, but he also said that he really doesn't believe the government knows diddly, and that this whole disclosure thing is just chasing it's tail. I tend to agree with him on disclosure. As for whether they know anything, I think it's all so compartmentalized that no one can get enough of it together to disclose anything coherent or sensible about it.
 
Emenegger is still preety much active and has many contacts from that era when he has made his documentary "UFos, Past, Present and Future". He is still in touch with Robert Friend and colonel William Coleman and he is still commenting on few internal CC mailing lists. Film with a launched missile and UFO is still in the private hands of Allan Sandler. Few researchers recently tried to obtained it but no luck so far.
