Brad Steiger's list is here:

http://www.bradandsherry.com/sfiles.htm (about half way down)

I think this is a very interesting list of UFO theories. However, as far as I'm concerned, I would probably add a few others to the list:

earthlights, unknown weather phenomena, unknown terrestrial animals (remember Carl Sagans large animals floating in Jupiter's atmosphere??), the effects of the environment around us affecting brain chemistry ... but otherwise its a pretty comprehensive list.

Any other additional thoughts on the origins of the UFOs ????

Thats a great list there schticknz

I dont think that its any ONE solution personally. I believe that the phenomena has many explainations.

Exactly ... and thats why I put up the list. It just shows how limited the ETH ... hypothesis truly is (oh and say "hypothesis" 3 times whilst looking into a mirror and you turn into Dr Bruce Goldberg ).

And what really bugs me is that there is absolutely no concrete evidence to prove that UFOs are from "out there". The ETH hypothesis feels to me more like a belief system and far from a purely objective scientific hypothesis ... which opens up another can of worms.

I would love UFOs to be from another civilisation but believing it to be true does not make it so ... Mister LeForge :P

What about the many humanoid sightings (multiple witnesses) which include physical trace evidence? There are little humanoid creatures piloting these things sometimes. If they don't come from Earth, they come from some place else. That's one step below concrete evidence, no?

Ummm ... I think you've just proved my point. People may seen humanoids of some sort, and these "UFO"s may leave physical evidence behind but we have absolutely no proof that they come from off planet. Just because we think something to be unknown doesn't necessarily mean it comes from "outer space". Mac Tonnies could be onto something with his "crypto-terrestrial" hypothesis. I think there's at least as much evidence for that as for the ETH ... hypothesis.

I guess it sounds like nit-picking but unless we really know whats going on we cannot be certain of anything.
