as the article says this interface is soon to be released as a gaming input.
which sort of does away with the would you purchase one of these devices for your kids if it were known to be an "advantage" like a laptop question.
the kids will already have been using this stuff in the games they play.
the potential in this stuff is mind blowing (couldnt resist)
not just uploads of brain data, but downloads as well.
i predict that ppl will be getting M&M candy sized implants that replace the helmet eventually, and once that idea takes off well look at replicating the function biologically by some skillful gene meddling.
on the upside it will do away with the likes of the one armed swiss farmer, direct external access to his brain data will be the end of that sort of thing.
