Brain Scientist Describes her own Stroke – Fascinating TEDTalk

Some dude
This is an old TED Talk, one of my favorites, that I think everyone here should see. It starts off a little dry, but stick with it. It is the tale of a brain scientist who, through the unfortunate occurrence of her own stroke, was able to travel to the frontiers of perception, identity, and consciousness. Yes, that's a human brain she's holding. She describes in scientific terms what in some other individual might have been a powerful religious experience. Yet, all the while, she maintains a sense of wonder. Fantastic stuff.

Moderators, I just noticed that there is an old thread on this same video: -How it feels to have a stroke-
