Bridgewater Triangle & Possible Paracast Guests

I was listening to a recent episode of Coast to Coast this evening with George Knapp. While I find that most C2C shows lean heavily on the side of entertainment rather than intelligent discussion, Knapp is one host/guest I love to listen to no matter what show he is on.

He recently interviewed filmmaker Aaron Cadieux and paranormal researcher Christopher Pittman about something called the Bridgewater Triangle. This area encompasses strange phenomena that occurs in a specific region in southeastern Massachusetts. Some of it was similar to what has been described at the infamous Skinwalker Ranch (a topic I'm sure some of us forum users are very familiar with), though maybe not as severe.

I thought I would mention these guys as possible future guests on the Paracast, that is if they haven't been considered already. And for everyone else, if you haven't heard of this topic before you may want to check it out. It's mostly new to me so I'm sure there's much I don't know, but it is certainly intriguing. There appears to be a mix of cryptozoology, UFOs, cultists, ghosts and Native American elements involved, plus another facet that includes a higher than usual amount of violent crime in a specific wooded region within the triangle.

Cadieux claims to be a documentary filmmaker, so their website has information on the area and also markets the documentary. You have to be careful when someone is selling something, but he sounded credible. I know it takes a lot more than that to actually be credible, but it's a starting point. If nothing else, it would be awesome to hear someone else who is knowledgeable discuss the Bridgewater Triangle if it is even some of what they said it was.

Here's their website:

Just some tasty paranormal food for thought. :)

I'm somewhat familiar with the area's notoriety and made a gallant attempt to stay awake and listen to the whole program but fell well short so I don't know how it played out, BUT I was intrigued from Aaron Cadieux's intro in which he claimed he went in 97% skeptical and came away 95% skeptical so it appears he was/is no died in the wool believer. Also...and Chris may find this interesting...I believe he mentioned, and maybe Grifynne can bear this out, the amount of weird/abnormal social behavior in this region. (My Words)

I believe it was focused in one of the national park areas (can't recall the region's name at the moment). The activity included satanic cults practicing ritual sacrifice, something which they claimed modern satanists do not condone. A teenage girl was abducted and taken to the forested area, tied to a tree, sexually assaulted then murdered. At the trial, the murderer was convicted but their lawyer tried to use the local cultist activity to create doubt.

There was some kind of prostitution ring and some of the prostitutes were killed out there. Apparently a couple of guys (cultists I believe) are currently in jail for that crime. They gave their names but my memory is far from perfect. If anyone is curious I can go back and find it again in the Knapp interview. :)

That's what I recall mostly. They didn't go into great detail, but did state that the amount of crime is very high for the area. That's one thing I would like to hear more about - the strange criminal behavior and the space it seems to be focused in (even acts that aren't directly tied to the cultists). The nearby town is described as sleepy with a "normal" amount of criminal activity. From what I recall, it was just this wooded area that is a hot spot for crime. It's even more interesting when viewed alongside the many alleged paranormal incidents from the area - which really covers a wide spectrum.

I am familiar with this area (somewhat) because another podcast I listened to talks about it now and then (not C2C). Jeff Belanger would also have some input on this area I think.
