Having lived through a 7.1 earthquake at night I have seen earthquake lights so that makes sense if you add the sound and shake itself. When they started talking about the lights with the shake at the start it was the first thing that jumped into my mind. Is this what happened? I can not say for sure but it make sense having experienced some thing very much like this. If we are looking for a natural explanation for this then it is the most likely one. As for the army being involved it sounds like to many conflicting story's to me to see it as reliable and is there really and evidence to back up Prescott's story?
