This is only going to get worse. As the popolation ages.

My best friend is a lawyer.

Any of youi guys have some shitty, health care-less system stories you'd like to share, that would be greatly appreciated.

sorry for your pain , I wish you would tell the U.S. .gov how bad your hlthcare is cause they're tryin to shove the same system down our throats

Broken fingers are a bitch. I've been there, I feel your pain. I'll drink a couple of beers for ya. Look on the bright side...at least it's not your ribs.

healthcare up here isn't so bad, compared to lots of other places. I may sing a different tune when my family doctor retires...

but we get what we pay for, and I don't like the idea of about half our gov't's income going out to healthcare. they could consider doing preventive care, instead of letting things get to the point where big bucks need to be spent.

things will change for the better when most of the baby boomers kick the bucket, maybe. but since I plan on sucking every dime out of the health system I can by living a long and busy life, that could take a while... ;)

Middle Phalanx Articular Fracture. Oh well at least it's still attached. Spent another 5 hours waiting to see a plastic surgeon/hand doctor only for him to tell me that surgery was not possible, and motility loss was inevitable. I can't work either, which is impossible with this injury, but hey at least you'll see more of me on the forum!!!

I've fractured the base articulation in my left big toe twice. It hurts a little now and then when the barometric pressure is high, but otherwise it's not so bad. I've cracked and dislocated bones in my hands a few times, including a wrist articulation which was treated by a veterinarian friend because I couldn't afford a doctor, but I can still play guitar just fine. I know it's a bummer, but it'll get better. Good luck, bro'.

You realize that the universe will conspire to make as many physical impacts with that finger., as it can?

My GF was a Vet Tech for some time, she's been very valualble in an injury-type medical process. That's encouraging, Skunk, that you can still play just fine after a wrist fracture. I had a left wrist radial-buckle-fracture that, when healed, didn't impede my playing. I'm hopeful, and optimistic about it, but I know that the motility of my playing finger will be altered, how badly I cannot determine yet.

I am intrigued sir, can you elaborate what you mean by 'physical impacts'?
I have, myself, meditated on the successful healing of this injury, and that is what I am attempting to demonstrate.

Took out my right upper arm once: Clean break, had to trade my car with my cousin to use an automatic. Then I took out my right wrist. I called up my Spousal Unit and said, 'Baby, I broke my wrist roller skating.' There was a pause on the line, then she said, 'I get to be on top.' That was the silver lining, I guess.

Threw out my back last week. Backrubs and beejers all weekend.

I love being injured.

for your bass problem. Take a page out of Iommi's book. Get a thimble, wrap leather around it, and put it on your finger. If it doesn't hurt to much doing flammenco strokes and whatnot you should be fine.

My cat's name is Sabbath. I hear that brother.

That is Awesome Schuyler. Thanks for that.
