It's one of the greatest "what ifs" of all time. What if John Kennedy had survived the ambush in Dallas, Texas? What then?

That's the subject of a fascinating new novel, just out in time for the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination... it's called, "Surrounded by Enemies: What if Kennedy Survived Dallas?" and it's full of twists and surprises, and has been written by friend of The Paracast, Bryce Zabel, who last dipped his toe into the alternate JFK timestream when he created NBC's Emmy winning "Dark Skies" TV series.

Here's more information about the book:

I wonder how J and RFK would have gone about finding out who had attempted the assassination? Would JFK have carried out his promise of reeling in the CIA? We have all heard about the many enemies the Kennedy's seemed to have in Washington and I think an attempted assassination would have made Kennedy go all out against his enemies. I don't think he would have backed down a bit and it would have been interesting to see the ass-covering going on had he lived.

maybe it's an urban legend but wasn't one of the things that tied reagan, kennedy & Lincoln together their distaste for the Federal Reserve & an inkling to change the system, would the cia be working on their behalf ? Also the timing may not be right but I seem to remember that reagan DID NOT want George H.W. "new world order" Bush as a running mate. But the Hinckley family who had ties to Bush family and the cia saw to it that Bush was in to push his agenda. Sorry I rambled a bit by I just think while cia may have been the trigger men the hit(s) came from higher up?

If it was the international bankers that made the attempt, I don't think there would be any attempt to rein them in, I think JFK. if he survived, would have been a very complacent president when it came to changing things.

  1. Do you cover any UFO related issues in your book?
  2. Does the book only cover the immediate period after the assassination attempt or does it cover a period of many years?
  3. Does the book spend some time on the alternate history of the world as well? For example, it's possible Khrushchev would still be in power.
  4. In order to write this book, you would need to have a theory of who attempted to kill Kennedy in the first place. I'm assuming it wasn't Oswald, so is your focus on the shadow government (e.g. CIA), the mob or all of the above?
  5. Which sources did you use in your research (e.g. Jim Marrs, James Douglass)?
  6. Is there any chance this could be made into a movie? If so, who would be your pick to play JFK, RFK and LBJ?

JFK *DID* survive. *Everyone knows that Ossie Davis is actually JFK, post a skin color change operation of course! The only problem, Ossie died a few years ago. So, I am very sorry to ruin the show, but JFK *IS* dead. Now.
