Bush Drunk?

Well, I still sometimes see vehicles with Bush/Cheney 04 stickers still on them... I am always curious as to whether it is an issue of:

  • A - They WERE supporters but have since been disappointed, but not passionately enough to be like "Man, and I've still got those stinkin stickers on my SUV... I'm gonna go out there and rip that shit off, throw it on the ground and piss on it... maybe this weekend".
  • B - They are STILL supporters, and defiantly so. "This world is filled with morons (true enough), and I am one of the few who can see the brilliance of His ways despite the downturn in popularity amongst these monkeys. But their children's children's children will one day erect statues in his honor, in thanks for what He has done for them... the stickers stay, even if someone vandalizes my Escalade over it.".

I really wouldn't have a problem with him except that he hasn't done anything to curb illegal immigration, and he and congress have increased congressional spending and waste over the past 8 years. He is far from a fiscal conservative despite running as a republican, although he did give me a nice break on the capital gains tax rate.

Instigating wars based on fallacy and taking your freedoms based on the fear he instills by shoving terrorism down your throat is not enough to make you dislike him, but the illegal immigrant and spending issue is? Hmmmmm. At least you got your check; to bad you you don't have anything else.

Don't care one way or the other. If we had not gone into Iraq that would have been fine with me, but since we did I'm ok with that too. I hope your head doesn't explode from contemplating that one but it really is a non-issue with me as far as voting goes. In other words, whether or not a candidate would pull out of Iraq in 10 minutes, 10 weeks, 10 months, or 10 years, it's not going to affect my vote.

>> taking your freedoms based on the fear he instills by shoving terrorism down your throat

What freedoms has he taken? I'm free to do what I want and go where I want. Haven't run into any problems so far. Please point me to an example where I can't do something NOW that I would have done 8 years ago.

Not sure what that's supposed to mean exactly. I have everything I want - great job, get to work from home and set my own hours, making money in the market, getting married soon, get to enjoy living in the most powerful nation on Earth. I'm thankful for the quality of life America has given me and not about to wring my hands in doubt and guilt over it all.

Sorry but I don't feel guilty for being happy and enjoying life. I'm going to vote on what matters to me most - taxes and daily of quality of life issues here in So Cal - that's where the illegal immigration thing comes in.

Although ashamed of it now, I voted for the guy. As my wife will tell you, I have since deeply regreted that decission. SHe gets to hear my ranting on the subject most of all. I have always been a fence sitter, but he has driven me to the other side of the fence on most issues. I'll tell ya boys and girls it can only get better from here.

I'm no Bush supporter ( far from it actually ) but that's not right to cherry-pick some clip of the poor guy's attempt at humor. :P

For what it's worth one of my good friends was a secret service agent at the White House for a number of years. Said that Bush was an extremely different / nice person than what you would expect. I know this doesn't mean much given his "macro" actions on the world stage but it is what it is. Furthermore, he said that Bill and Hillary Clinton treated them like dogs. Bill I can understand why, he was out and about trying to lay low with his ladies.

Errrrrr Dude, Bush really didn't do what's in the videos. The first one is slowed. The second one is true ;). And the third is a montage.
